Meet The Foundation for Clean Air's global air quality advisory board.
The Air Quality Advisory Board provides expert guidance to the Foundation for Clean Air’s Board of Directors. Bringing together a diverse group of experts and thought leaders, the Advisory Board helps shape initiatives that improve public understanding of air quality, expand and strengthen monitoring efforts, and make air quality data and education more accessible.
The Board advises the Foundation on public engagement, monitoring network development, science communication, strategic partnerships, outreach, and other initiatives that support informed action and healthier communities.
Dr. Christi Chester Schroeder
Los Angeles County, California, USADr. Christi Chester Schroeder is the Senior Air Quality Science Manager at IQAir, where she provides scientific leadership for the company’s air quality data strategy and global monitoring initiatives. Her work spans the full air quality data lifecycle, from measurement and quality assurance to data processing, analysis, and public communication, including the research and publication of IQAir’s annual World Air Quality Report. Dr. Schroeder holds a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Southern California, has more than a decade of experience spanning academia, government regulation, and the private sector, and serves as Chair of the IQAir Foundation Air Quality Advisory Board.
Dr. Ashley Lowe
Tucson, Arizona, USADr. Ashley A. Lowe is an Assistant Professor and Community-Engaged Translational Scientist at the University of Arizona College of Nursing. Her research focuses on implementing and evaluating evidence-based interventions, particularly in pediatric asthma management and school-based health systems
Dr. Allison Felix Hughes
Accra, GhanaDr. Allison Felix Hughes is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana’s Department of Physics, with experience in environmental physics, air pollution characterization and modelling, and renewable energy. A former Special Fellow at Harvard University, his research addresses air pollution modeling, climate change, and the conversion of municipal solid waste to energy. Dr. Hughes holds a Ph.D. in Physics and has published extensively on particulate matter, household air pollution, and energy technologies.
Dr. Collins Gameli Hodoli
Somanya, GhanaDr. Collins Gameli Hodoli is a Lecturer at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Somanya, Ghana, and Founder/Director of Operations at Clean Air One Atmosphere, a nonprofit using air sensors to revolutionize air quality monitoring in Ghana and across Africa. He holds a Ph.D. in Environment and Agrifood (Environmental Technology), an MSc in Health and Environment from Cranfield University (UK), and a BSc in Natural Resource Management from KNUST. As a member of CAMS-Net (a National Science Foundation-funded air quality network), he leads projects on PM2.5 exposure in agricultural settings and schools in Ghana.
Dr. Naomi Zimmerman
Vancouver, British Columbia, CanadaDr. Naomi Zimmerman is an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia’s Department of Mechanical Engineering and holds the Canada Research Chair in Real-World Air Quality Sensing. Her research focuses on developing and applying real-world tools to assess the impact of policy and technology decisions on air pollution and climate outcomes. She leads projects on spatial heterogeneity of air pollutants, transportation technology, and the health effects of emissions from goods movement and wildfires.
